Insurance Coverage for varicose vein treatment
Most insurance companies have recognized saphenous reflux and painful varicose veins to be medically necessary and will often cover saphenous laser ablation and closure procedures and ambulatory phlebectomy if you have attempted conservative treatment for 3-6 months in the past:
  • Compression Stockings
  • Exercise
  • Weight Control
  • Elevation
Sclerotherapy is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance companies.

Our practice will file your claim with your insurance carrier, however, the patient is ultimately responsible for the charges that are not covered.

We do accept most insurance carriers in our region.
